Out and About

This is the sign welcoming you to the town of Anacortes. We have learned that the man that discovered this town in 1891 named it after his wife...Anna Cortez.

Mom and Dad take a night off to sample the local fare at one of the restaurants downtown...YUM!

Bald Eagles are everywhere! We went for a drive, and when Henry and Noah took a walk to exoplore, they looked up....and there he was! Amazing! (You might need to squint...he's in the tree!)

Deer are also a common sight around here....sometimes even in our back yard!

Just some scenes from our beautiful surroundings.

This area is one of the biggest producers of tulips and daffodils in the U.S. Here is a field of daffodils just beginning to bloom! I can't wait for the tulip festival in April!

Not sure if you can make them out, but those white specs are actually swans. Every year, these swans come and eat the leftover potatoes in the fields after they've been harvested while on their way to their summer home!
