Merry Christmas 2008!

Wishing your and yours a peaceful holiday season filled with much love!

Snow Day!

When cabin fever kicks in, it's time to get out! We broke out some old Maine winter gear and 4-wheeled our way to a hill to do some sledding! After some snowball fights and snowman building, we finished the day with hot cocoa and a nap in front of the fire!

Winter Wonderland

Okay....suddenly we remember why the snow gets less exciting as it piles up! I guess snowfalls of this magnitude are not very common here in this part of Washington, so they are not really equipped to deal with it...although the boys didnt mind starting their christmas break three days early!!

First snow

Here are some pix of our house and deception pass covered in the 1st snow of the season!

winter morning sunrise

I've never been as excited to walk out in 26 degree weather to pick up the morning paper as I am here...the beauty of this place never ceases to amaze me!

We spent Thanksgiving with our good friends the Russell's. The girls cooked, the kids hung out, and the guys fell asleep watching football!

Halloween

Noah and his friends Dane and Daniel spent the evening trick or treating as freaky middle schoolers.

And then Henry decided he needed to join in on the fun...except he really did scare the little ones. I cant tell you how many kids ran from our house screaming because of the scary man in the mask!

Can't we all just dress up like cute kitty cats and give candy out to the pretty ballerinas and precious pumpkins?

Jack o lantern masterpieces

The boys each picked, cleaned, designed and carved their own pumpkin this year. Noah is modeling how his sassy pumpkin is sticking out its tongue! Alex didn't realize how technical his design would be to cut out; but in end, darth pumpkin was worth it!!

Fall 2008

There's nothing quite like apples, pumpkins, and homecoming to make you think of fall. The Rendon clan enjoyed a beautiful autumn season here in Washington picking pumpkins, eating apples and getting dressed up for the high school homecoming dance. No wonder it's my favorite season!

More catching up!

Here's some other recent news from the Rendon clan:
New Orders….AGAIN?!
It’s true! Henry’s next tour as a Department Head will take us BACK across the country to where we came from….Virginia Beach! (And this time…I’ll be flying!)

Yikes!

I dont know which is scarier...that Alex is driving, or that I'm old enough to have a child who's driving?!

Changing leaves means....it's cold! Back to hats and mittens weather and snow on Mt. Baker already...boy did summer go by quick. It was 32 degrees this morning!!

Camping in Northern California

Catching up!

Okay, so I knew I'd eventually fall behind in my blogging endeavor. But I haven't given up! So I added some new posts from some camping trips and visits from this summer, and this post contains some highlights from the last couple of months. Don't forget to check out a couple posts from September that might not come up on this page.
