Quick Seattle visit with Dad

The silver lining about our move away from washington was that my dad got to come out for a very quick visit. We tried to cram all of the best seattle highlights into one day before sending dad and grandpa off on a cross country road trip together with the geriatric pets in the middle of winter.

Moving day January 2009

So moving day arrived much too quickly, and it was time to say a sad goodbye to the place we'd come to fall so in love with in such a short time. Though there were sad faces all the way around, we did leave Anacortes with a crystal clear, picture perfect day and an amazing last glance of Mt. Baker. *sniff*

Snow Day!

When cabin fever kicks in, it's time to get out! We broke out some old Maine winter gear and 4-wheeled our way to a hill to do some sledding! After some snowball fights and snowman building, we finished the day with hot cocoa and a nap in front of the fire!

Winter Wonderland

Okay....suddenly we remember why the snow gets less exciting as it piles up! I guess snowfalls of this magnitude are not very common here in this part of Washington, so they are not really equipped to deal with it...although the boys didnt mind starting their christmas break three days early!!
